Whilst the Turnitin issue will still be present for the remainder of this teaching block, we have been provided with a suitable workaround from the vendor. Please contact the Service Desk on 020 8417 3355 or login to portal.kingston.ac.uk if you require advice on originality score issues in Turnitin.

Problem Identified

Some student submissions are getting very high Originality scores. This is happening in assignments
which have TurnItIn turned on twice. 
There is a document available on the Canvas Announcement page which shows you how to check if your assignment is affected and how to deal with the problem.
Any issues please contact the Service Desk on x63355 or through the usual channels.

Some staff and students are reporting an issue where Turnitin is giving submissions a very high plagiarism score. This problem is known to Turnitin and is being worked on by their engineers.
Guides have been created, detailing how to exclude submissions being checked against themselves.
