On Friday 8th January, an issue occurred relating to Adobe Creative Cloud that resulted in the removal of a number of student accounts. The accounts have now been reinstated, however a side effect of this issue was that any files stored in Adobe cloud storage by these accounts were deleted. In consultation with Adobe, it has unfortunately been confirmed that Adobe do not back up this storage and there is no mechanism for the recovery of this data.
Please be reminded that Box is the recommended cloud storage provider for the University and that it should be used for secure data storage. If you do choose to use any other third party online storage offering, including Adobe, please ensure that you have backups of any and all critical work.
The issue with access to Adobe Creative Cloud services experienced by some users has been resolved and we’ll monitor the situation to ensure things continue to run smoothly.
