Cisco Jabber facilitates telephony calls via software on mobile or physical devices, replacing the need for dedicated desk phones. Even in remote settings, Jabber provides staff with a seamless campus-like experience, allowing them to make and receive calls.

In a proactive response to safeguard the university against cyber threats, we swiftly implemented measures to temporarily restrict Cisco Jabber to on-campus usage only, accessible solely through the wired and wireless network infrastructure.

Collaborating closely with our partners, we are working to deploy the latest stable version of Cisco Jabber, with the aim of restoring remote accessibility. Presently, this situation affects solely those attempting to use Jabber remotely or off-campus. However, Jabber remains fully operational for individuals accessing it within the campus premises via both wired and wireless connections.
